Residence Permits: In accordance with Turkish regulations, foreign nationals must personally apply for residence permits at the Police Department Foreigners Bureau (in practise, applications may be filed by agents, but the foreign national must be present at least once for face confirmation).
Families of expatriates must also get residence permits for each of them during the duration of the expatriate’s job. The expatriate may, however, be given a temporary residence permit for three (3) to twelve (12) months for touristic purposes in the event that the work visa application process or procedure is delayed. The applicant should remember that a residence permit often comes out within a week.

You can apply for a residence permit if you want to move to Turkey, start a business, or buy a home.
You merely need to demonstrate that you have sufficient financial resources to live in the country and that you own a property or are operating a business. There is no minimum investment amount necessary.
Once you have your residence permit, your dependents (spouse and dependent children) are eligible to apply for a family visa.
If you are currently operating the business or own a property, have resided in the nation for at least 184 days each year, have been a tax resident, and have sufficient income to sustain yourself and your dependents, your permit may be extended for a further two years.
You can apply for a long-term resident permit, which would enable you to stay in the nation permanently, after 8 years of lawful residence. You must have significant and consistent financial resources, have a clear criminal history, and have not received social assistance from public agencies in the three years preceding to application.
After merely five years of lawful presence with a total interruption of less than six months, you can apply for citizenship in place of a long-term residence visa. You must demonstrate your nationality, show that you have enough money to sustain yourself and your dependents, and be free of any significant illnesses or criminal convictions. Additionally, a job interview is required to demonstrate your qualifications.
